The Registration Desk for the Symposium will be located on the Second Foyer of the Cankarjev dom Congress Centre.

   
   
  Symposium Identification Badge

A Symposium identification badge will be included in the Symposium materials provided upon Registration. There will be no admittance to the Scientific Sessions without the Symposium badge. Tickets to social events will be collected at the entrance.

During session breaks, refreshments will be served free of charge to participants wearing Symposium identification badges.

All participants are reminded that neither the Organizing Committee nor the technical organizer Cankarjev dom, Cultural and Congress Centre are liable for any losses, accidents, or damage to persons or private property. Participants and accompanying persons are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance.

Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, travel agencies, hotels, airports and railway stations. There is a bank in the immediate vicinity of the Symposium venue.

Automatic cash dispensers accepting Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express credit cards and Maestro Cirrus are situated at all main banks in Ljubljana and also at Ljubljana Airport. The nearest cash dispenser to the Symposium venue is at the main entrance to the Maximarket department store, located 50 meters from the Symposium venue.

Ljubljana is located in the centre of Slovenia, about an hour drive from the Alps and from the Adriatic Sea. On average, July is the warmest month in Ljubljana, with daytime temperatures that may well exceed 30 C. However, there is a possibility of rain and storms. Please follow the weather forecast before leaving for Ljubljana.

City buses have an electronic payment system based on a no-contact smart card called Urbana. Urbana cards are electronic ticket carriers. The Urbana card can be purchased at LPP Information Centres Slovenska 56, 1000 Ljubljana: 7.00 to 19.00 and at all sales points Kiosk Delo, 3DVA, etc.

Many antique shops, sales galleries, arcades, and the open-air market create the spirit of the Old Town. Normal shopping hours during the week are 9.00 to 19.00, Saturdays 9.00 to 13.00. On Sundays, there is a flea market in the Old Town, along the Ljubljanica riverbanks just off the Triple Bridge.

Distances within Slovenia are short, which makes Ljubljana a perfect base for exploring Slovenia's diverse beauty. If you want to discover Ljubljana or Slovenia by yourself, please make the appropriate individual arrangements. Please note: Pre- and Post-Symposium tours are not included in the Symposium programme.
