Authors are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. All contributions will be reviewed before inclusion in the programme.

An acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent to your e-mail address after the completed submission. If you do not receive confirmation, your submission was incomplete and needs to be re-submitted.

The accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts. A printed or electronic version of the Book of Abstracts will be distributed to all participants upon registration.

Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be sent electronically to the corresponding author by May 30, 2010.

Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting your abstract.

The organizers will only publish the abstracts submitted by authors who settle their registration fee by June 20, 2010.

Abstracts may only be submitted through this website after registration. Late abstracts will not be considered. Avoid submitting within 48 hours of the deadline for the best system performance.

Please submit your abstract in PDF format and upload it through the online registration form. Files may contain graphics, but please make sure that the abstract is on one A4 page and the final file does not exceed 9 MB.

Authors are requested to use the template for optimal abstract formatting. The template can be found here (doc) or here (pdf). See template for details.

Each presenting author may submit a maximum of three abstracts: one abstract for oral presentation and a maximum of two abstracts for poster presentation.

It is the responsibility of the authors to submit a correct abstract. The abstracts will be directly reproduced, and the organisers will not be responsible for any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific facts in the reproduced abstracts.

For each abstract, presenting author must specify the desired type of the presentation:
  - Only oral presentation
  - Oral presentation that can be changed to poster presentation
  - Only poster presentation

For each abstract, presenting author should also choose the preferred research area from the following categories*:
  - Inorganic Chemistry
  - Organic Chemistry
  - Bioorganic and Medical Chemistry
  - New Materials
  - Energy
  - Environmental and Applied Chemistry
  - Other

    * The final classification will be made by the Scientific Advisory Board.

  Information for Speakers and Poster Presenters

The technical organizer will give you additional instructions concerning your session and the presentation of your paper in the Speaker Centre. Symposium staff will make sure that your presentation will be copied to the computer in your specific session room. Please make sure that your computer presentation is fully operational before your talk.

   
 

Important: Only Power Point presentations (MS PowerPoint 2003 or 2007) will be accepted.

   
 

We suggest that your computer presentation be installed and tested at least four hours before your lecture. A technician and a room attendant will be in every room to provide assistance when needed. The Speakers Centre will have the same opening hours as the registration desk.

Posters must be brought to the Symposium by the presenting author and should not be mailed in advance. The required dimensions are 95 cm (width) by 120 cm (height). Artwork and lettering should be large enough so that the poster is readable from a distance of 1.5 m. Double-sided tape should be used. Display boards will be numbered.
